Work At Home University exists online with many different names and in many variations. So is WAH EDU (that’s the name they are using now) a scam? Or a legitimate product? Should you buy it?

Important Update: Since August 17, 2017 Work At Home University and all its different variations have been labeled as a scam from the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). You can click the following link for more information.

What is Work At Home University?

It’s an online training course that will teach you how to create an online business and make money online. The first thing you will see on their site is that if you only spend 1 hour a day you can create a successful online business and of course that they are “the net’s top educational platform” (very original). Their home page, although it seems interesting, doesn’t offer much information about the structure of their product and it’s basically a sign-up form. Actually, there is not much else for you to see on their website.

Let me explain

When Work At Home University was first lunched it was all about CPA (cost per action) marketing. That means that you will earn money every time someone clicks on the unique link you are promoting. But over the course of time that has changed and now their training is more about affiliate and niche marketing.

That is the reason why you will find so many reviews online about them. But they all seem to describe a different way to earn money online although they talk about the same product. There are reviews saying that Work At Home University will teach you how to become an auction list agent but there also reviews saying that they will show you how to make money promoting CPA offers or by using Drop Shipping. And also there are reviews saying that their training is all about posting links. By the way, link-posting has been used by many scams over the years as an easy and quick way to earn money online. Companies won’t pay you to just post their links. So, link posting is basically spamming people.

All of the above are true. It seems they were promoting different business models to different members probably to find out which one will get the best results for them. Like i said earlier today their online course is more about how to create a niche website and make money by using affiliate marketing.

It get’s worse

If you conduct your own research online about them you will only find negative reviews. All the reviews end up in the same conclusion. That this product is a scam. The only positive review i found is actually worse than the most negative reviews about them.

What does that mean exactly?

Well, the positive review (you can read it here http://workathomeuniversityreviews.com) looks so fake that proves that the negative reviews are true. It’s nothing more than a post saying how great and unique their training program is without ever revealing how much it costs, if there is training you have to pay extra, etc. Plus it’s the only review on that website.

There is, of course, a 30-day money back guarantee. But there are many complaints about that online too. It seems there are a few restrictions about that as well.

Refund Complaints

This complaint was filed in the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org)

The Unknown Owner

Today on their website you can’t find any information about the owner. But in their early days, there was a person named Michelle Withrow that was supposed to be the creator. She had the typical story: a single mom that worked really hard all your life but she was still living from paycheck to paycheck. So, she wanted to do better for her child and she succeed online using this wonderful opportunity. Now she wants to show you how to do it too. And of course, how easy it is to make money online if you follow her system.

Here is the truth

It turned out that picture was an istock photo and it was also used in numerous other similar products. The whole thing was just fake. Many bloggers pointed it out in their reviews and today they don’t use that anymore.

The owner of WAH EDU is not a real person

All these testimonials are usually fake and you shouldn’t take them seriously unless they provide you with a link to their own online business. The only reason they do that is for you to feel secure and comfortable so you can let your guard down. Their objective is for you to trust them since there are “real” people like you who already made money using their product.

The Training Work At Home University offers

You get access to more than a 100 videos that cover topics like:

  • Social Media
  • How to use auto-responders
  • CPA marketing
  • How to research and target the right audience
  • SEO
  • PPC
  • Video marketing
  • Media buying

And other topics about online marketing similar to those. Their training is video-based only and is aimed at beginners. The quality of the training is very low and you will end up with more questions than answers. The information that is available to you in this online course is very generic and vague. The only people that will find them useful are the people who have absolutely no idea about what online marketing really is and they never bothered to do an online search.

The training videos are focused around their own product and promoting the idea of how easy it is to make money online. You can learn most of these things for free. Just Google them and you will find a ton of information. Visit some of the best blogs in the industry and you will find plenty of information about all these things.

But that’s exactly the reason why products like that one exist. They know that many people will not do that. They know that many people want to believe the myth that you can create a successful online business working 1 hour per day. That is the only reason they still exist and why they will never go away. You can’t make money online with little or no effort. If you want to be a successful affiliate marketer you must have the right mindset.

What’s the real deal

In order to join Work At Home University like i said, in the beginning, will cost you $97 for 3 months. But you will also have to fill an online form providing personal information like your phone number. After that, you will be contacted by their sale representatives that will try to sell you more stuff. You will receive emails urging you to buy other products. They will try to apply pressure to you by saying that the positions are limited and you should join now. This product is actually what we call a reversed sales funnel. You will always have to buy something if you want to keep moving forward.

Your own Persnal Mentor

Of course, they offer a personal coaching program. They will ask you to buy new products and they will try to convince you to buy a more products if you want to succeed online. Of course, all this new products/upsells will cost you thousands of $. A lot of people believe that in order to succeed online they need a personal coach. So, what many online marketing training programs  do is to offer you one and exploit you as much as they can. They are only there to sell you more products and convince you to upgrade to the next level. Work At Home University is no exception.

They will also offer a discount to their members that will try to leave. From $97 to $77 and then to $47. This is what is called a downsell and it is one of the biggest warnings that a product is not legitimate. You might think i just got a better deal but that’s not correct. If their product had any value they wouldn’t offer such discounts. The price would be fixed. I have to say that i don’t know if they are still doing that but they were doing it in the past.

Why Work At Home University Is NOT Legit

Well because the first they will do after you buy their product and pay the $97 is to send you an email asking you to speak with their Start Up Specialist to find out if you can qualify for their advanced coaching program. That is not mentioned anywhere on their website. Again we see this attitude that if you want to “take advantage of this opportunity” you have to buy an extra product.

But now i will show you the biggest reason why you should avoid this product and never join anything similar to that.

Like i said at the beginning we have WAH EDU (https://www.wahedu.com)

Work At Home University

But it turns out there is also Work At Home Institute (https://wahinstitute.net)

WAH Insitute Same Product - different NAME

And also Stay At Home Revenue (http://stayathomerevenue.org) It looks pretty familiar. Right?

stay at home revenue is a scam

Hold on. We are not done yet. There is also Online Home Careers University (http://onlinehomecareersuniversity.net)

online home careers university is a scam

And at that point, i just stopped looking. What’s the point to continue? Do you honestly believe that a legitimate product would have so many different versions? They are all the same awful product. That’s why they keep changing their name trying to trick people to join them. Now i can definitely say this is a SCAM.

What’s the bottom line?

Will you be able to build an online business if you buy that product? The answer is no.

Are you going to learn what online and affiliate marketing is all about if you follow their training? The answer is again no.

Can that product provide you with the necessary information to build a strong foundation for your own online business? Again the answer is no.

Conclusion

WAH University is just an awful product that promises to teach you how to build a profitable online business. What they will really do is take as much money from you as they can. There are no automated ways to generate income online.

Full-time online marketers work 70-80 hours per week. How do you believe you will be successful online working an hour per day. Building an online business is not easy. Because it’s not supposed to be. It will never be easy. That’s why it’s worth it. You can also read my post about why you should start an online business even if you feel discouraged right now.

There are plenty of legitimate online marketing training programs that can help you create an online business. Just click the button below and you will discover 3 of them. Some are better than the others but the opportunities are really there. But it takes a lot of hard work and you must be willing to learn. You can’t just apply or copy someone else’s strategy hoping to make money online. You have to develop your own marketing strategy.

If you really want to succeed online no one can stop you. Don’t be afraid to Follow your dreams.

      Hello Vickie,
You should contact your bank immediately and cancel the payment. That’s basically the only thing you can do. I don’t believe they will answer your emails.
