What is Savage Affiliates?

Savage Affiliates is an affiliate marketing training course designed to teach you how affiliate marketing works and how to become a successful affiliate marketer yourself. The course is not only for beginners with no prior experience in affiliate marketing but also for intermediate affiliates wanting to learn more and increase their online revenue. The training offered in this course aims at helping them both.

Savage Affiliates creator is Franklin Hatchett. He is a successful affiliate marketer and a well-known online entrepreneur. He is also the creator of Ecom Elites (eCommerce/dropshipping training course). Although he started his online career relatively recently (about 5 years ago) he has done quite well for himself. His YouTube channel for example has more than 300k subscribers. As an affiliate marketer, he has made a lot of money (not including his courses) promoting ClickFunnels, Shopify, Clickbank products, etc. So he knows what he is talking about and how affiliate marketing works.

To get started with Savage Affiliates you have to choose between the Standard and the Super plan. Unfortunately, Savage Affiliates doesn’t offer a free or a trial membership. At least for the moment. The only way to access it and see what the training is like is by purchasing one of their plans. There is a 30-day refund policy though.Savage Affiliates refund policy

As you can see below the Standard plan costs $197 and the Super $297. There are no monthly or recurring fees. You only pay once (one-time payment) and you get full access to everything included in that plan.

Savage Affiliates membership cost

The discount mentioned in Savage Affiliates’ home page is something I would take with a pinch of salt. The price has remained the same for quite some time now and I couldn’t find any information online about when it was the last time the “60% OFF” was not offered. I think that is an exaggeration to pressure you to make a choice quickly.

Also, as far as I know, there are no Savage Affiliates coupons or any other discounts. The price for the Standard plan is the same for everyone $197.

Savage Affiliates is a legitimate training course offered at a reasonable price. Unlike other affiliate courses, it is not trying to rip you off. The training covers pretty much every aspect of affiliate marketing and you have access to more than 100 training lessons.

Now, let’s take a closer look at what is included in Savage Affiliates and their training material.

How Does Savage Affiliates Work?

The training is very thorough and does a good job of explaining all the key topics of affiliate marketing. There are 9 main training modules plus one bonus module. Everything you need to know about building a profitable affiliate business is mentioned in the training modules. From how to pick your niche and build a WordPress site on how to get traffic (both free & paid traffic methods) and monetize your sites.

Intro.

An introduction to affiliate marketing and the training course. Franklin Hatchett is welcoming you to the course and explains to you how affiliate marketing works.

Module 1 – Affiliate Products To Promote

This module is about choosing the right niche and how to find affiliate products and offers to promote. It talks about how you can use some of the most popular affiliate networks (like Clickbank, Amazon, JvZoo) to look for products to promote.

Module 2 – Building Your Website Asset

Here you will learn how to build a website using WordPress, how to choose a domain name, what plugins to use, and how to create landing pages. You will also learn how to set up an autoresponder and how to create an email list. Also, included in the module how to create and use Facebook chatbots.

Module 3 – Email Marketing & Funnels

An introduction to email marketing, how to build landing pages, and how to use them. Franklin also talks about the software he uses, how to create & send newsletters, how to optimize your email marketing campaigns, and how to write emails. There is also some training on how to use email marketing with ClickFunnels.

Module 4 – Clickbank Affiliate Marketing

All you need to know about Clickbank and how to market its info products. The training describes in detail how to create a Clickbank account, how to use the platform, what to look for, and what to avoid. How to choose the right Clickbank products to promote and how to create sites to promote such products.

There is also training here about how to set up sales funnels and how to get paid Google traffic. This module goes into great detail about how to use Clickbank and how to earn money as their affiliate. It is also one of the biggest modules in the course.

Module 5 – ClickFunnels Affiliate Marketing

This module is divided into 2 parts and talks about everything you need to know about ClickFunnels. I believe (not 100% sure though) the second part is available only to members of the Super Plan. It is obvious that ClickFunnels is one of Franklin’s favorite products and would also like to see you promoting it. After all, Franklin himself made a lot of money promoting ClickFunnels.

The training describes in-depth how to use and promote ClickFunnels. If you are interested in making money using ClcikFunnels this training can help you do that. Franklin teaches you how to get paid by ClickFunnels, how the sticky cookie works, how to get ClickFunnels trials, and how to use both free (SEO) and paid traffic (Facebook & Google ads) methods with ClickFunnels and more. Case studies are also included in the training.

Bear in mind though that ClickFunnels is not free to use. The first membership plan costs $97 per month and the second one (ClickFunnels Platinum) is at $297 per month.

Module 6 – Amazon Affiliate Marketing

Everyone knows about Amazon and their affiliate program (Amazon Associates). It is the biggest online retailer in the world and despite the low commission rates, it is still a good choice to earn money online. So this module is all about how to make money as an Amazon affiliate.

The training shows you how to sign up with Amazon, how to do niche research, and how to build an Amazon site (niche, authority, or hybrid website). The training also includes examples of profitable Amazon affiliate sites and how to find ideal Amazon products to promote.

Module 7 – SEO Google Traffic Training

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and is an essential part of every affiliate marketing business. Without SEO you can only rely on paid sources for traffic.

Both On-page and Off-page SEO training is included in this module. From how to look for keywords and how to use them to link building. SEO is a topic most affiliate courses simply avoid to talk about because it takes time before seeing any results. Instead, they focus on paid traffic in an effort to convince their members that affiliate marketing is an easy and quick way to make money online.

It is definitely a plus Savage Affiliates has dedicated a training module in SEO. You don’t have to become an SEO expert though to learn how to increase your organic traffic and rank high in the SERPs.

Module 8 – Free Traffic Training

The training has nothing to do with SEO since this is not the only way to drive free traffic to your website. This module is mainly about social media marketing.

Franklin here focuses more on YouTube and how to use it to generate traffic. There is training about how to create videos, what keywords to target, how to optimize and rank higher. There is also some training about Quora, Instagram, and how to use forums for traffic.

Module 9 – Paid Traffic Training

This module is about Facebook and Google ads. It mainly talks about how to create ads on Facebook and Google and how to design successful marketing campaigns. Also, covered in this module is training regarding how to create YouTube ads.

That is the last training module of the Standard Plan.

Bonus Module – Extra Free Gifts

There are some bonus training videos here for you to watch and PDFs you can download. The first bonus includes 3 videos (Viking Blog Training) around 4 minutes long each about blogging, blogging platforms to consider, blogging topics, etc.

The second bonus is 2 PDF files containing more funnel training and the funnels Franklin personal uses to promote his affiliate offers. There is also some extra training about Instagram and how to build an account.

The third bonus has to do with email marketing. A series of videos discussing Email Authority and how to effectively use email marketing, about the different types of Email services, free giveaways, how to get traffic to your squeeze page, etc.

Savage Affiliates training course tools

As you can see there is a lot of value in this training course. Savage Affiliates shows you how to become an affiliate marketer by building a WordPress site (like an Amazon niche site) and also without a website by only using ClickFunnels. There is a ton of training lessons you can learn a lot and build your affiliate business.

Pros & Cons of Savage Affiliates

There is no doubt Savage Affiliates is a legitimate training course. Although I am not affiliated with it I recommend SA for both beginners and intermediate marketers. It is a user-friendly course that can help you make money online with affiliate marketing.

But there is no such thing as the perfect affiliate marketing course. Every course has its advantages and disadvantages. Let’s take a look at Savage Affiliates’ pros & cons.

Pros

  • High-quality training.

The training is very good, covers all major aspects of affiliate marketing (traffic methods, monetization, niche research, how to build a website, etc. The training is easy to follow and except for the training modules, there are also weekly videos with live Q&A.

  • Step-by-step training.

The training videos are well-structured and easy to watch. Franklin provides over-the-shoulder training and uses cases studies and examples to help you better understand how to apply what he is teaching.

  • 30-day refund policy.

Savage Affiliates comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you change your mind. There are some restrictions but that is normal. You must prove you made an effort before asking for a refund. For more information about their refund policy visit Savage Affiliates Refund Policy page.

Savage Affiliates refund policy restrictions

  • Access to Savage Affiliates private Facebook group.

All members of Savage Affiliates get access to this private Facebook group once purchasing one of SA plans. Here you can interact with other members, learn from their experience, ask questions, and seek advice. Franklin participates in the group too answering questions.

  • Reasonably Priced.

Savage Affiliates is not overpriced. For the amount of training included in those 9 training modules, $197 is a good price. Other highly promoted affiliate courses offer much less and charge much more. Plus the quality of their training material is not that good. Savage Affiliates training is also not outdated.

Cons

  • No free trial.

In my opinion, it would be much better if Savage Affiliates offered a free membership or at least a low-cost trial. For some people, $197 is not a small amount of money to pay upfront. Especially for those who are not even sure if affiliate marketing is the right way to make money online.

If a part of the first module was available for free beginners could better judge if this is what they want to do or not. They could take a look at the way the training material is structured, its quality and see if it works for them.

  • Pressure tactics

I think the “60% OFF” special offer is nothing more than an attempt to make you purchase Savage Affiliates right now. The price may go up in the future (at any time) but both the discount and the price have remained the same for some time now.

I believe the same tactic applies to Franklin’s Facebook ads.

Frank Hatchett Facebook ads

  • No hosting.

Savage Affiliates does not offer any web hosting services. You must find a host yourself. I believe Franklin suggests Bluehost ($4 /month) which is one of the most popular hosting providers. But I am not so sure shared hosting is the best way to go.

There are a few complaints online about their tech support. I think it is better to choose a training course that also offers reliable web hosting services if you are a beginner. Which one would you prefer?

Having to contact (on your own) your host for tech and website support or to simply ask the support team of your training course to fix the tech issues you are facing. At the end of my review, I mention an affiliate marketing training platform that offers both great hosting and training.

  • Too promotional.

Some of Franklin’s videos on YouTube seem too promotional to me. Although I have no doubts that Franklin is a very successful affiliate marketer and he has earned a lot of money doing what he does I also believe some of his videos could easily be misunderstood by people who have no affiliate marketing experience thinking this is an easy way to make money online.

Savage Affiliates’ home page is very clear about affiliate marketing not being a get-rich-quick scheme with plenty of written disclaimers saying “results are not typical”. But I just don’t like it when online coaches and affiliate training course creators are flashing their money on YouTube.
Frank Hatchett Youtube Channel

Especially in a business model like affiliate marketing with high failure rates. Many people enter affiliate marketing having the wrong mindset and unrealistic expectations without realizing the amount of work and dedication that is required.

Savage Affiliates also recommends a few paid products (like Bluehost, ClickFunnels, GetResponse, etc). Although that is rather typical since most affiliate courses do the same thing is something you should be aware of.

  • No written training material.

Unless something has changed (which I don’t think so) all the training is in the form of videos. There is no written training material. That on its own is not a disadvantage but I believe some users would appreciate it if some of the training was available in text too.

  • Questionable SEO techniques.

Apparently, inside Savage Affiliates SEO module there is some training about how to use Private Blog Networks (PBNs) to boost the rank of your sites. Honestly, I don’t mind if that is included in the training. The reason I mention it here (as a disadvantage) is that many bloggers and online marketers consider PBNs to be outdated.

Personally, I don’t use PBNs and I don’t recommend using them for your websites either. I don’t feel it is such a big problem though if PBNs are mentioned in the training material. But I don’t think it is something you need to include in your SEO strategy. I also don’t understand the obsession with building backlinks. I agree that backlinks are important for SEO but it is not the only factor that matters. Also, there are plenty of tips and information online about how to naturally build backlinks.

Final Thoughts

Overall Savage Affiliates is a quality affiliate marketing training course providing great training. At a very reasonable price too. Following Franklin’s instructions, strategies and methods can help you build a successful affiliate business.

Savage Affiliates teaches you how to make money online with or without building a WordPress website. You can use ClickFunnels instead. The training is very thorough and reveals how you can earn money using both methods.

Finally, the training is easy to follow and designed for both beginners and more experienced marketers who want to do better. A training course on its own though -no matter how good it is- is not going to earn you any money. That is your job. You must do the work. You must apply what you learned.

You can only learn how to do affiliate marketing by practicing and learning from your mistakes. There are two main things you need to do if you want to succeed.

  1. Go for it.
  2. Don’t stop until you succeed.
